N64 Book Production Is Completed!
I hope you all had a great Summer! Here are some sample pictures of the physical N64 books you will be receiving if you pre-ordered!
Shipping Update
Earlier this week, roughly 25 tons of N64 guidebooks arrived at the warehouse for pre-order and Kickstarter fulfillment. That's the good news. The not-so-good news is that the warehouse is nearly a week behind in their receiving department for new product arrival. That means that hopefully, the pallets of books will be put away sometime soon in the next few days. At that point, thousands of books must then be prepared for shipping. In this case, that means they will all be kitted with cardboard corner protectors to ensure a better chance of arriving to each of you with minimal to no damage. With the SNES book, I was not 100% happy with the warehouse's preparation of the books and their fulfillment, so I am taking the extra time and cost this time out to make sure they arrive in overall better condition for all.
What does this mean for shipping time to you? Based on my conversations with the fulfillment team, they believe that the kitting process can take up to a week, but it is not clear until they begin the work. After the corner protectors are attached, they can then finally begin processing everyone's orders and get the books shipped out into the world. I am confident that this all means the N64 books will begin shipping sometime in the 2nd week of October, but that is a loose estimate -- it may be sooner or later. I will probably know more next week, but that is the best information I have at the moment. I know it has been a little bit of a wait, but I appreciate your patience. Book production and shipping times are not an exact science, and my estimates were somewhat based on the previous experience with the SNES book, but this N64 book has been a bit slower on both the production and shipping sides.
Digital Book Fulfillment
To be fair to those who ordered the physical book but not the digital one, I will not send out the digital books until I see the physical books start to ship so that those who pre-ordered the book in any form can start enjoying the book at about the same time (like releasing a digital/physical video game). Again, that will likely be in the first half of October.
That's it for now. Thanks!
